The Spot: mapping our campus sex

Eight years later, The Daily Californian is once again collecting community submissions about sexual encounters on campus for our Sex Special Issue.

January 27, 2026

We’ve all heard the stories, but where does it actually happen? For our special issue on sex, The Daily Californian is collecting stories to examine where sexual encounters on campus actually happen and the stories behind them.

If you feel comfortable, please share a time you had a sexual encounter on campus. Provide any commentary you wish: how it happened, what went down, your rating, how you felt, etc. Then drag the pin to where it happened. We want to provide a safe and anonymous space where you can feel comfortable sharing your own story — however intense, funny, casual, cold, uncomfortable or haunting it may be.
